Print Advertisement for Dictionary Index,
U.S. Patent #4,8l3,7l0

Please know that this improved dictionary has not yet been published.  You can see the article “Advance Ordering Dictionaries” about ordering one of these improved dictionaries.  This print ad was designed possibly later to save some time designing an ad.

This print ad was designed from a Survey on an improved dictionary, where words are found with only 2 or 3 turns of the pages.  In that Survey, 75% said that dictionary would be used more often.   87.5% would prefer this if only for convenience.  And the average amount people would pay extra for this dictionary is $3.19

People expressed this demand before seeing that this improved dictionary existed.  It was only later in the survey that this improved dictionary was seen and demonstrated.  Seeing how well this worked,  90%  of those surveyed then said they would want one.  This is major demand.
