Contacting Dictionary Companies

You can help the country by contacting dictionary companies and politely requesting/demanding that this improved dictionary be published.  You could point out how this would help education and their own income.  Towards their knowing there is a market for this, you can tell them if you would like to buy one of these.

You can improve education and help the world.

Yes, letters or E-mails or Faxes will make a difference.  Dictionary companies like to be known as caring about education, and they might well prefer that you not conclude otherwise.  This 17-year patent expires March 2006, with it being thirteen years so far that no dictionary company has published this.  You can look at the article “Emergency – This Must be Published SOON” to see why if this is not published within the next two years, before the last two years of this patent, the economics are that this likely will never be published.

Below is a list of some dictionary companies.  Over the years I have written to all of them, some more than once.  So far they have all declined, with no one yet publishing this.  Please do not be impolite to any of them.  But feel free to state your viewpoint rationally and directly – not apologizing for your viewpoint.  Your freedom of speech allows you to help the world in this way.

Make your vote count.  They will know that for every letter they receive, maybe three hundred other people saw this Website and never got around to write.  You can make a difference.  You can even ask some of your friends to write a letter, or people that you know in your own clubs and organizations to write letters.  When writing to a dictionary company, you might refer to this Website address to help them know what you are writing about.

If you know of any other dictionary companies that should be on this list, especially enterprising dictionary companies actively looking for innovative ways to increase their dictionary sales, please write me about them, with similar information as is seen below.

Here are some names, addresses, etc. of some dictionary companies.

Note:  I previously wrote to Oxford University Press in England, but not to their division in the United States.  Perhaps the United States division will tell the senior England division that the United States really wants this improved dictionary.

Note:  There are other dictionaries out there, but keep in mind that some of them are leased from the original developer.  For instance, each of Holt, Rinehart & Winston   plus  Addison Wesley Longman Inc. lease dictionaries from Merriam-Webster, Inc.

But if you hear of any other dictionary not listed here, especially intermediate/high school and college level dictionaries, please inform me and also request this improvement of those other dictionary companies.  A new dictionary may especially welcome this    improvement, so as to help it get started and respected by the public.
